Lavender Oil
Just about every gardener loves to grow this magnificent herb called Lavender. Its deep dark purple and blueish bloom planted in any garden setting is enough to make all heads turn to steal a glimpse of its beauty, and then drawn to its presence one can enjoy the heavenly scent this herb contains.
Lavender comes from the botanical family Lamiaceae or Labiate (mint) and is one of the most recognized herbs distinctly known for its aromatherapy; however this wonderful plant offers more than just a pleasant scent. Lavender is the “go to herb” for treating anything above the shoulders, which is why many use Lavender to treat headaches and insomnia, but lavender offers even more therapeutic properties. French scientist Rene Gattefosse was the first to discover lavender’s ability to promote tissue regeneration and to heal wounds faster, after severely burning his arm in a laboratory accident.

Nice! I Love lavender it is such a perfect scent. Gotta rate this up and vote it everything good! I love goats milk soap and products. I opened my last three pack of my old frankincense and myrrh and will soon be ready for a new experience! Looking forward to it. Thank you for the great Lavandula angustifolia lavender experience! :) Katie
I love lavender and now that I know how many healing properties I will use it more often! What a great hub! Vote up and thanks for such great information!
Love this! With Latin and all. I keep a bottle of lavender oil in my car and open it when traffic starts to get bad - relaxes me immediately.
I love Lavender, but I always kill my plants with too much water. I’m going to give it another try, and try not to make the same mistake again. Thanks for an informative and inspiring hub!
I’ve just visited your websites – and I’m truly impressed. I’ll soon return to them to order some of your mother’s soaps and to ponder over your website services... so many opportunities, but only one will be feasible for me... Which one? I am currently at a T-junction... waiting-waiting for a traffic light to go green. Thanks!
60 square miles of blooming lavender! Imagine being a child living and running in lavender fields! Love the video on processing lavender, I suppose because I love everything lavender. Am going to try to grow French lavender again this year. In several years of trying I've had success in only one year. I can't seem to get any established. Thankfully they are available each spring.
Great info. Glad I found your hubs.
Yes sir! The fragrance! The beauty! Thank you!
