Lavender Oil
Just about every gardener loves to grow this magnificent herb called Lavender. Its deep dark purple and blueish bloom planted in any garden setting is enough to make all heads turn to steal a glimpse of its beauty, and then drawn to its presence one can enjoy the heavenly scent this herb contains.
Lavender comes from the botanical family Lamiaceae or Labiate (mint) and is one of the most recognized herbs distinctly known for its aromatherapy; however this wonderful plant offers more than just a pleasant scent. Lavender is the “go to herb” for treating anything above the shoulders, which is why many use Lavender to treat headaches and insomnia, but lavender offers even more therapeutic properties. French scientist Rene Gattefosse was the first to discover lavender’s ability to promote tissue regeneration and to heal wounds faster, after severely burning his arm in a laboratory accident.
